Rule 30
Basis of promotion
: (1) The promotion committee will recommend the police personnel for promotion based on the total marks obtained for performance.
(2) According to the sub-rule (1) while evaluating the working capacity, a maximum of one hundred points will be given as follows.
(a) For performance evaluation – 40 marks
(b) For seniority – 22 marks
(c) For experience of working in geographical area – 8 marks
(d) For educational qualification – 10 marks
(e) For training – 7.5 marks
(f) For challenging or special responsibilities – 5 marks

(3) While calculating the points for performance evaluation of the potential candidates, the points achieved up to the end of June will be calculated and while calculating the other points, the points achieved up to the day before the meeting of Wadhwa will be counted.
(4) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-rules (1) and (2) in accordance with sub-rule (6) of rule 5, promotion to the posts of Senior Deputy Inspector of Police, Senior Constable of Police and Assistant Constable of Police shall be done for the first time after the commencement of this sub-rule based on the recommendation of the Promotion Committee on the basis of seniority. will be promoted.
